Sleepy Xi'an
Okay, so today's post is going to be short because it's late and I gotta pack and be up early to fly to Shanghai.
So, guess whats going to be gracing my appartment?
That's right...life size Terra Cotta Warrior, and its a General!!! Believe it!!!
Well thats what we did today. We went to see all the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an. It was freaking amazing. Today was a much needed chill day. Here are some of the pictures:
Now realize that all those "little statues" are all life size.
And look at the detail. Everyone of them has a distinct face.
After the TCW museum we headed to a jade factory. This woman has no idea whose carving jade in the booth behind her.
And for some reason the jade fumes made TJ act a little funny.
After the jade factory, we went to the museum of ancient Chinese relics where we saw this most interesting sculpture.
Which we promptly reenacted.

Hey BBs...you guys make our day...you look like you are having so much fun...this could become an annual tradition!!! We are having a ball...not having to go to Disney World...Lego Land...an adult vacation!!! We are in Gold Beach, Oregon heading north. We'll be around Portland tonight and flying home tomorrow. Can't wait to see you both...love you more than life...yo mama (and dad)
i love the statue reenactment. hahaha. great great. i would love to see the TCW thing. i have read about it in history books and stuff. i bet that was amazing. i like what mom said- lets make this an annual tradition. you and tj go somewhere overseas and incredible, mom and dad take an "adult vacation" (oragel included) somewhere tropical, and sara sit at home in oklahoma, with a sinus iinfection! YES!! sounds good to me. blah. love you.
